PG fleuhan or þleuhan, OE flēon II, ME flẹ̄n, MnE flee, German fliehen. Almost exclusively found as class 1 weak (flúða, flý(i)ðr). An early lexical variant is flœja. If this verb were in fact attested strong, its past participle would be identical with that of fljúga II “fly.”
